This site originated from a discussion between Nick North and John Eddie who are both freshwater aquarium enthusiasts.  Having met several years ago through their aquarium keeping hobby they saw a need for a site for beginners within aquarium keeping .

"There is a huge amount of information out there on aquarium keeping and sometimes it is all too much.  Where to start and what to do after you have started is often hidden amongst all the information which is available.  Starting out can be very confusing to anyone who is doing this for the first time."

The site is designed to give simple easy to understand information about the freshwater aquarium keeping hobby and how to get started.

Nick and John have both been freshwater aquarium enthusiasts for several years and have many years experience of designing, developing and maintaining freshwater aquariums. 

As well as collaborating on the website Nick and John have also co-wriiten the ebook.
