I have put these together for the simple
reason that they are the same fish but slightly different varieties.
The Albino Cory has been developed through breeding from the Bronze Cory
. Their pink and white coloration adds interest to the aquarium.
Whichever Cory catfish you decide on it
is best to stick with one variety. Corys are a shoaling fish and ideally need to be kept in shoals of
six or more if you want to see them at their best. They are a very active fish that mixes well in a community
tank.
The Albino Cory can be sensitive to
strong light and need to be kept in a well planted tank with plenty of hiding places.
T
They are bottom feeders and will help to
keep the tank clean by scavenging all uneaten food from the bottom of the tank.
They are best kept with a sand or fine gravel substrate as they can be prone to
barbel damage from coarse gravel. They can survive in a low oxygen environment because of their habit of
taking gulps of air from the surface.
They will eat most food but do best with
a sinking pellet specifically for bottom feeders and catfish.
These fish will breed readily in a home
aquarium sticking their eggs to teh glass and to plants. Survival rates are very low unless the eggs are
protected from other fish.
