Common Hornwort - Ceratphyllum Demersum
Common Hornwort is
sometimes used as a floating plant in freshwater aquariums but
can also be rooted in the substrate or attached to
driftwood. Its fluffy filament like leaves and
bushy growth habit provide great cover for young fry. The
leaves are produced in whorls of 6 to 12. They are very tough
and are left alone by any plant eating fish. Regular pruning
will keep them under control.
