Dwarf Hairgrass or Short hair grass is an excellent foreground plant that has an easy spreading habit.

dwarf hair grass Planted in small clumps it will soon start to spread to form a green carpet across the front of the aquarium rooting firmly in the substrate.

Although preferring a well lit aquarium, once established it will spread to even shaded areas of the aquarium.

This needs to be fed on a regular basis and obviously kept under control as it will spread readily if left unchecked.
