Dwarf Hairgrass or Short hair grass
is an excellent foreground plant that has an easy spreading habit.
Planted in small clumps it will soon start to
spread to form a green carpet across the front of the aquarium rooting firmly in the
substrate.
Although preferring a well lit aquarium,
once established it will spread to even shaded areas of the aquarium.
This needs to be fed on a regular basis
and obviously kept under control as it will spread readily if left unchecked.
